Hardcover, 144 pages, Over 100 full color photographs plus diagrams of five, selected projects.
"Origamido" was a true first in the field of origami books. Not a "how-to", rather an exhibit of origami art by living masters. Michael, and many other members of the origami community, have long envisioned such a book--a photographic "exhibit" of notable, contemporary, origami masterworks and innovative designs, representing origami artists from all over the world. Rockport Publishers (Quarry Books) agreed that this treatment was long overdue, and after a year of international communications, some 40 origami artists and designers sent examples of their work to Massachusetts for full color portraits.
Many of the models featured, such as Eric Joisel's Pangolin , are "one-of-a-kind" pieces and are not diagrammed . Many of these pieces have been on exhibit at major museums, such as the Louvre, Paris.
