Two great projects plus paper preparation techniques.
Total run time is approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes - intermediate to advanced level projects.
This video DVD is for advanced folders who have mastered wet-folding techniques, and want to produce enjoyable creatures to sculpt into desired poses while they are being folded.
These peaceful, relaxing models take on a special vitality as curves are coaxed into their flippers or fins. The Koi can be adorned with red- or black-colored pulp appliques, and either model can be mounted on a backing board covered with rich, handmade paper to produce a wonderful piece for the library, den, or above the mantle. The cover of the "Koi USA" magazine for July-August, 1996 depicted one of Michael's favorite subjects mounted in this way.
We have included a segment on back-coating paper to assist wet-folders, who may need to prepare a wide variety of handmade papers for wet-folding, particularly unsized, light or thin sheets.
Diagrams of both of these projects are featured in our newest book, "Advanced Origami".
